Nikaia: Man Stabs Wife – Alarm Raised in Greek Police (EL.AS.)

The man had been arrested for domestic violence once in 2021, twice in 2022, and three times in 2024. Each time, he was released after being held in custody

The Greek police (EL.AS.) were alerted on Monday night (May 27) following reports of a man attacking and stabbing his wife in the abdomen.

According to police sources, the incident took place just before 21:45 in Nikaia when a woman called the emergency number 100, reporting that her husband had stabbed her in the abdomen before hanging up. Officers quickly arrived at the scene, but the suspect had already fled. After a search, they apprehended him on Artemis Street.

Sources revealed that the man had a history of domestic violence arrests: once in 2021, twice in 2022, and three times in 2024. Each time, he was released after a court hearing. The latest incident occurred on April 27, when the woman declined the offer of a panic button or transfer to a protection facility.
