An overturned tanker, carrying gasoline, occurred on Friday (7/6) on the Athens-Corinthos road, at 75.5 km, at the Isthmus bridge.
A fire has broken out at the site resulting in the mobilisation of the fire service forces.
According to reports, the driver of the vehicle has been taken to hospital, but his condition is not a cause for concern, while no other vehicle was involved in the incident.
28 firefighters with nine vehicles have been mobilised. A wetting operation is being carried out by the fire brigade who are waiting for the fire to be extinguished to approach the scene. The petrol has spilled on the roadway resulting in a fire.
Traffic has been stopped on both directions.

In particular, according to an update from the traffic police, there are vehicle traffic interruptions on the traffic stream towards Athens, at the Epidaurus junction and on the traffic stream towards Korithnos, at the Loutraki junction bridge.
The fire has also spread to the highway embankment.
Dense smoke has risen above the scene of the accident, with flames raging.
