Changes in the Government

According to the new government list, 11 ministers and deputy ministers are leaving, four are being transferred to different portfolios, and 11 are either entering the government for the first time or returning, having previously served in ministerial roles during the first term of the New Democracy administration from 2019 to 2023.

Change of hands

Niki Kerameus is taking over the Ministry of Labor, leaving her previous position as Minister of the Interior. The Ministry of the Interior will now be headed by Theodoros Livanios, who was previously a deputy minister in the same department.

It’s worth noting that Mr. Livanios is the only individual being promoted from deputy minister to minister.

Similarly, Vasilis Spanakis will move from Deputy Minister of Labor to Deputy Minister of the Interior.
