Ingredients
4 egg whites (120g)
140g powdered sugar
45g all-purpose flour
130g desiccated coconut
100g dried figs, finely chopped
120g milk chocolate, finely chopped
70g oats
80g honey
90g chocolate couverture
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius and line a 20×30 cm baking tray with parchment paper.
Step 2
Place the egg whites in the mixer bowl and whisk until they form peaks. Remove the meringue from the mixer, add the powdered sugar, and gently fold with a spatula. Then add the remaining ingredients, except the chocolate coating, and mix.
Step 3
Spread the mixture evenly in the tray and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate coating in the microwave or using a double boiler.
Step 4
Once the bars are baked, remove them from the oven, let them cool then pour over the melted chocolate coating. Once the chocolate has cooled, cut the bars into rectangular shapes and store them in a cool place.
