“The Outsiders,” adapted from S.E. Hinton’s novel and produced by Angelina Jolie—who attended the ceremony—garnered three awards, including Best Musical. The award for Best Revival of a Play went to “Appropriate,” a darkly comedic story about a dysfunctional family.
