Polyzogopoulou asks for divorce, Lytras asks for release from prison

The lawyer spent his second night in the cell and yesterday Friday he had a visit from his ex-wife and two daughters

Newsroom June 22 09:53

Responses to the case of the brutal beating of Sofia Polyzogopoulou by her husband and well-known lawyer Apostolos Lytras are mounting.

The lawyer, who now lives in the sixth wing of Korydallos prison, spent his second night in the cell while yesterday (21/6) he was visited by his ex-wife and two daughters, who had with them a black suitcase with clothes, personal belongings of the criminal lawyer and books.

At the same time, the victim of the attack, Mrs. Polyzogopoulou, is still in a bad psychological condition and, as it was reported, she is determined to proceed with her next legal steps.

According to reliable information from protothema.gr, Mrs. Polyzogopoulou intends to file for divorce and at the same time injunctive relief to get exclusive custody of her minor daughter.

The process from now on is expected to move quickly on both levels, given that Apostolos Lytras was remanded in custody on charges of grievous bodily harm, while he has confessed that he hit his wife on Saturday night to Sunday, in their car and while they were returning home from a night out.

Lytras is preparing a release application

For his part, the jailed criminal lawyer is planning to file an application for release.

According to reports, Apostolos Lytras, from inside Korydallos prison, is preparing to file his application for release, as he has the right to do, in the next ten days.
