After the storms, the weather officially changes from tomorrow, Saturday, July 6, with winds – winds in the Aegean – and some heat, more in the west.

Today it may rain briefly and a lot locally in eastern Sterea at noon. The temperature will rise a little in Athens to 33 34 degrees, 36 degrees in the west, while north winds in the Aegean Sea will be at 6 and from the afternoon at 7 Beaufort.

In the next few days, practically the whole new week, the weather will roll with winds of up to 7 Beaufort in the Aegean and more heat in western Greece, where the beneficial effect of the wind will not be enough.

In fact, from Monday, the thermometer will reach and briefly exceed 40 degrees in certain geographical areas. In Attica, the mercury will remain at 37 degrees in the new week, in Thessaloniki at 35-36 degrees.

Analytical forecast: What the weather will be like today & over the weekend

Today, Friday, no rain is forecast. The winds will blow N-NW with an intensity of 4 to 5 Beaufort and in some places in the Aegean Sea 6 Beaufort. The temperature will be close to normal for the season.

On the weekend (6-7/7), sunshine is forecasted. Northern winds in the Aegean will reach 7 Beaufort and the temperature in the Ionian Sea and mainland Greece will rise.

TODAY FRIDAY
In eastern Central Greece, Evia, Sporades and Crete, partly cloudy with some local rain until midday. In the rest of the regions the weather will be generally clear and only in the midday and afternoon hours clouds will develop on the mainland.
The winds will blow north-northwest 3 to 5 Beaufort and in the Aegean Sea 6 and gradually and occasionally 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly mainly in the west and north and will reach 33 to 35, locally 36 degrees Celsius on the mainland and 30 to 33 degrees Celsius on the islands.

TOMORROW SATURDAY 06-07-2024
Weather is generally clear with occasional clouds in the afternoon and evening hours in the mountainous areas of the mainland.
Winds will blow from the north, in the west 3 to 5 and in the east 4 to 6 and locally in the Aegean Sea 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly, mainly in the west. It will reach 34 to 36 degrees in the mainland and the Ionian islands and 37 degrees in some places in the western mainland. In the rest of the island country 29 to 31 degrees Celsius and in places in southern Crete 32 to 33 degrees Celsius.

SUNDAY 07-07-2024
Generally clear weather with a few clouds in the afternoon and evening hours in the mountains of the northwestern part of the country.
Winds will blow from the north at 4 to 6 Beaufort and locally in the Aegean Sea at 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly further. It will reach 36 to 38 degrees Celsius in the Ionian Sea and in the mainland and in some places in the mainland 39 degrees Celsius. In the rest of the island country 30 to 33 degrees Celsius and in places on the eastern Aegean islands, the Dodecanese and southern Crete 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.

MONDAY 08-07-2024
Generally clear weather with a few clouds in the afternoon and evening hours in the northern and central continental mountains where local rainfall is possible.
Winds will blow from the north 4 to 6 and locally in the Aegean Sea 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly in the west and north. The weather will improve in the south of the country.
