The exhibition, themed “The Secret Dew of Hydra,” showcases the paintings of a woman who deeply loves the island and has been visiting for years. The event took place on June 28 with a distinguished crowd and was curated by the charismatic Takis Mavrotas.

Hosted by the ever-worthy Dina Adamopoulou, the evening was dazzling, and the remarkable and special crowd warmly embraced the great artist. With love and simplicity, Serafetinidou captured the metaphysical side of the island in her works.

Katerina Serafetinidou embodies and translates the island’s uniqueness, its color, and character, unspoiled by time and immensely attractive. Her honesty and talent shine through as she captures the subtle details and tones of Hydra, uniting us and encouraging contemplation about life.

Individually and collectively, we listen to the morning sounds, the bustling harbor, and the people’s movements, fostering a spirit of cooperation and love for the island that has taught us so much over the years.

We owe something to this island, which, with its metaphysical and healing dimension, becomes an annual attraction and refuge for celebrities and non-celebrities alike, as well as all of us who love and cherish it.

Yesterday’s exhibition at the museum was a grand event, bringing us all together to share our joy and sensitivities. We admired the excellent choice of Katerina Serafetinidou as the painter, whose work captures the morning and afternoon dew of the island, skillfully transforming it into art. Her sensitivity, truth, and insight are palpable in her unique and special portrayal of Hydra. But the artist doesn’t stop there.

With her materials, she projects a psychic dimension onto the canvas. Meeting her in person reveals the honesty and authenticity of her feelings for the island. Her long-standing relationship with Hydra has allowed her to develop her talent, practicing and expressing her art through personal experience and emotion over the years. Yesterday, we shared the joy of meeting her and immediately admired her for the integrity she respectfully expresses in her paintings. Her talent, ethos, and simplicity in communication make her truly lovely.

The same admiration is due to the recently awarded curator by the Academy of Athens, Takis Mavrotas, whose unique gift of communication attracts the finest talents the country has to offer.

Finally, a big thumbs-up to the tireless and commendable Director, Dina Adamopoulou, for her excellent selection and warm welcome to all who attended.
