“Trump thanks law enforcement for their swift action during this heinous act. He is fine and is undergoing a check-up at a local medical center. More details will follow.”

Donald Trump is safe following an incident at his rally, according to Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the U.S. Secret Service.

“An incident occurred on the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures, and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation, and more information will be released as it becomes available.”

Journalists at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where former President Donald Trump was hurriedly taken off stage, reported hearing “a series of loud explosions or bangs” before Secret Service agents rushed towards Trump.

“The Secret Service immediately went and covered President Trump,” according to the group’s report.
