A commercial agreement to share their sports content has been reached between Cosmote and Nova.
The two largest pay-TV platforms in Greece announced today the details of an agreement between them that will allow their subscribers to access the content of the other platform for an additional fee (for example, Cosmote TV subscribers to have access to Euroleague matches that Nova has the rights to and similarly Nova subscribers to watch, for example, Olympiacos Superleague matches broadcast by Cosmote TV).
In a statement by Cosmote, it is stated that the two sides reached a mutual agreement on the exchange of their sports channels. Thus, starting from the new sports season, COSMOTE TV subscribers will be able to enjoy even richer sports content with the addition of all Novasports channels, for only 3 euros more than the current price of the current price list of the Full and Sports packages of COSMOTE TV and in a single subscription.
At the same time, as noted, this agreement is a decisive step both for the fight against piracy, which is constantly spreading, and for the development of the pay-TV market.
It is recalled that COSMOTE TV has the richest content with more than 90 top sports events. Its TV bouquet includes, among others, all European UEFA intercollegiate competitions (UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Youth League), home games of AEK, Panathinaikos, Olympiacos, OFI, Volos, Lamia, Panetolikos and Athens Kallithea FC for the Stoiximan Super League, the Italian, Portuguese and Scottish football leagues (Serie A, Liga Portugal Bwin, Scottish Premiership), the Greek Cup, the world’s top basketball league, NBA, major tennis events (Nitto ATP Finals, ATP 1000, ATP 500, ATP 250) and motor racing action (MotoGP, WRC).
As part of the mutual agreement with Nova, all this content will be enhanced with Novasports channels, which will broadcast the matches of PAOK, Aris, Asteras Tripoli, Atromitos and Pancerraikos for the Stoiximan Super League, the football leagues of England, Spain and Germany (Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga), the European basketball competitions EuroLeague and EuroCup, the basketball matches of the Greek national team (World Cup, EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers), the matches of the UEFA national football teams in the Nations League and in the qualifiers for Euro 2028 and the World Cup 2026 and the Wimbledon and WTA tennis competitions.
As a result, sports fans will be able to enjoy the most complete sporting spectacle from every event on COSMOTE TV, legally, easily, at any time and with a single subscription.
It should be noted that a similar commercial agreement had been made in the recent past, in the case of Nova and Vodafone TV, but this is the first time that the two largest pay-TV platforms have entered into a joint partnership. Cosmote and Nova, moreover, maintain a very close cooperation on issues related to the fight against piracy in pay-TV.
