The phenomenon of passengers displaying extreme behaviours due to alcohol consumption, resulting in either emergency landings to remove the troublemakers from the plane, or passengers and crew having a “martyrdom” flight because of such behaviours, is becoming increasingly common.
A new incident was recorded late yesterday (Wednesday 17/7), when an aircraft flying from Hurghada, Egypt to Bristol, UK, requested permission to make an emergency landing at Heraklion airport.
The reason, was a British couple who were extremely aggressive towards the crew with the rest of the passengers, imperatively demanding alcohol.
The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing at “Nikos Kazantzakis”, the couple was arrested and the plane continued the flight to Bristol.
