The archery events are being held at the Palace of Archery. On the first day, during the women’s qualification round, the first world record of the entire Paris Olympic Games was achieved.

South Korea’s Sigeon Lim made an outstanding Olympic debut by scoring 694 points, surpassing the previous world record of 692 points held by her compatriot Chaeyoung Kang since 2019.

Lim’s performance also set a new Olympic record, breaking the previous record of 680 points set by another South Korean, San An, at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Additionally, the South Korean team set a new Olympic record in the team event with a total of 2046 points, surpassing the previous record of 2032 points.
