There is a steady flow of illegal immigrants arriving on the country’s islands.

Yesterday morning, the Port Authority of Kos was informed by the Police Department of Kos that a person was swimming towards the Greek coast in the sea area “Lampi”.

The swimmer came ashore on his own and was taken to the General Hospital-Health Center of Kos for first aid and was discharged.

Subsequently, another foreigner was spotted swimming towards the Greek coast and was picked up by a Coast Guard flotilla.

The Kos Port Authority, which is conducting the preliminary investigation, found that both foreigners had no travel documents.
