Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is the Democratic vice-presidential candidate, chosen by Kamala Harris.
A former educator, Walz is serving his second term as governor of Minnesota and chairs the Democratic Governors Association. He previously served 12 years in Congress, representing a rural, conservative-leaning district that was predominantly Republican both before and after his tenure.
The official introduction of the vice-presidential candidate will be made by Kamala Harris at a large rally scheduled for today in Philadelphia.
Following this, Harris and Walz will embark on a tour of key states in the coming days, with planned stops in Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada.
