“Before the bombing, numerous measures were taken to mitigate the risk of harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions, surveillance, and additional intelligence,” the military said.

“School compounds were used by terrorists and Hamas commanders as command and control centers from which they planned and launched attacks against IDF soldiers and the State of Israel,” he added.
