Mondo Duplantis: Vacationing in Santorini with His Gold Medal and Girlfriend – See pic

Mondo Duplantis is undoubtedly one of the standout figures of the Olympic Games.

The track and field prodigy at 6.25 meters, setting yet another world record and, of course, claiming the gold medal in the pole vault. The 24-year-old, who shares a close friendship with Emmanouil Karalis, is now enjoying a vacation in Greece, with the help of the Greek bronze medalist from the Paris Olympics.

The Swedish super-athlete, who holds eight world records, kicked off his vacation in Greece after a demanding year, starting with Santorini. He is spending time relaxing in Santorini with his girlfriend, who also went viral after their kiss during the final.

His girlfriend even posted a video where they pose together with the gold medal.

In another video, Duplantis is seen wrapping the medal in a restaurant towel because he lost the special Louis Vuitton box for it in Paris. He has asked the organizers if they could send him another one.

According to the Athens News Agency (APE-MPE), “Manolo” (Karalis) revealed that he was the one who arranged Duplantis’s vacation in Greece and helped him with the logistics.

The two have competed together in all the youth championships and have built a strong friendship, which was evident in Paris. Because sports aren’t just about what happens on the field, but what remains outside of it.
