According to the information, the incident occurred on the afternoon of Holy Tuesday on an intercity KTEL bus route from Athens to Volos. The 40-year-old is said to have consumed alcohol and, under circumstances that remain unclear, verbal incidents broke out inside the bus. The driver repeatedly warned him, but he did not stop causing a disturbance in the back seats. During the incidents, as the 17-year-old reported, the man touched her leg above the knee. According to gegonota.news, the minor panicked, the driver called the police, and the man was arrested by officers from the Almyros Police Department.

According to reports, the 40-year-old claims he had consumed several beers, which led to tension during the journey, but he denies touching the 17-year-old.

According to thenewspaper.gr, during the hearing, the court postponed the trial until Holy Thursday in order for a Hindi interpreter to be called and present, ensuring the proper preparation of the defendant’s statement and full understanding of the proceedings.
