The ultimate terror was experienced by a family of five tourists in Corinthia in the early hours of Monday morning when brazen robbers smashed the window of a bedroom where they were staying and tried to break in.

Specifically, the four robbers approached the house shortly after four in the morning on Monday. They disregarded the presence of the family and tried to gain access to the interior by throwing farming tools, sticks and anything else they could find, according to ANT1.

A 46-year-old man from Germany tried his best to deter them, while one of his minor sons captured the scenes on his mobile phone.

The 46-year-old was forced to hand over a total of2,400 euros to the offenders. Security officials identified the four perpetrators, managed to arrest a 44-year-old and are looking for the other three, including two minors.

As a friend of the victim told ANT1, “They entered in parallel from all the windows, that is, they broke the whole perimeter of the house, the windows, it was not that it was from one window only, they had opened the window of the room, then they broke the window of the living room.”

Arrested today (19.8.2024) in the morning, in a local community of the municipality of Corinth, by police officers of the Security Department of Corinth, 44 year old native of Greece, against whom a case was formed for robbery, criminal organization and violation of the legislation on weapons, which includes three more people, who are wanted.

In particular, today (19.8.2024) and early morning hours, in a local community of the municipality of Korinthia, the above 44-year-old perpetrator together with his -3- accomplices, having covered their facial features, broke into an entrance and entered a foreigner’s home, where they forced him to hand over a sum of money and a game machine with the threat of violence.

After a thorough investigation and preliminary questioning carried out by police officers of the Security Department of Corinth, following the use of information and collection of data, the identification of the perpetrators was achieved, while the 44 year old man was identified and arrested in the framework of an organized police operation.

The arrested person will be taken to the appropriate authorities, while the police investigation and preliminary investigation work is being continued by the Department of Security of Corinth.
