Within the framework of the International Mathematics Competition (IMC) students are ensured a highly supportive environment for the participants to meet the extremely high level of the mathematical problems. At the same time, they have the opportunity to interact with peers from all corners of the globe and explore international career prospects in the field.
It is noted that the competition remains neutral towards political controversies and wars, promotes diversity and inclusion, rejects any kind of discrimination and fosters mutual respect and a spirit of cooperation among the students taking part in it.
The students of the Department of Mathematics of the University of Athens have been participating in the competition since the academic year 2007-08 until today, having significant successes every year, which are a testimony to the level of studies of the University and the quality of its students.
