The platform arogi.gov.gr opened today, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, for submitting applications for those affected by the August 11, 2024, fires in Attica. The platform is open until Wednesday, September 4, and applies to:
- Businesses, non-profits, and agricultural enterprises impacted by the fires, seeking first aid towards a grant.
- Property owners whose buildings were damaged by the fires, seeking first aid towards housing assistance.
Eligible applicants must submit their requests via the electronic platform arogi.gov.gr, with support from the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE).
The aim is to expedite the process so that victims can receive the aid quickly after verification. Eligible areas include municipalities such as Vrilissia, Halandri, Penteli, Marathonas, Dionysos, Oropos, Rafina-Pikermi, and Pallini, all declared in a state of emergency.
1. First Aid for Businesses and Farms
- First aid amounts to €2,000 for significant damages and €4,000 for severe damages. This aid will be offset against the final grant amount after damage assessments.
2. First Aid for Housing
- For buildings severely damaged or rendered unusable, the aid amounts to €10,000. For those temporarily unfit for use is €5,000.
Prime Minister’s Meeting in Penteli
At 17:30 in Penteli, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will hold a meeting on recovery efforts in NE Attica, with the participation of ministers, local officials, and representatives. The meeting will review damage reports and recovery actions, including state aid measures and environmental restoration plans, to establish a clear timeline for implementation.
