The 11-year-old boy, who had been injured in a car accident while riding his bike in Lesini, Aetolia-Acarnania, in early August, had suffered severe traumatic brain injuries.

The boy, who was riding his bike in Lesini while on vacation, was struck by a passing car, causing him to be seriously injured. He was initially transferred to the Mesolongi Hospital, where it was decided that he needed to be moved to the Pediatric ICU at the University Hospital of Patras.

An operation was organized for his transfer, accompanied by police escorts to save precious time. The 11-year-old fought a tough battle in the ICU while intubated, but unfortunately, he passed away this morning, according to ERT.
