A Turkish naval cooperation aircraft ATR-72 and a Turkish helicopter entered the Athens FIR today without filing a flight plan.
3 violations of air traffic rules (ATC) were recorded in the FIR Athens, in the area of the southeastern Aegean Sea.
The Turkish aircraft were identified by international rules, as is standard practice.
It is noted that according to the data of the General Staff of the Hellenic Defence Forces, from August 12 to 17 and on August 19 and 20, daily violations of air traffic rules have been recorded in the Athens FIR, either by Turkish naval cooperation aircraft (CN-235, ATR-72) or by Turkish UAVs in the same area.
The above was acknowledged by international rules, as per standard practice.
