A distress signal was sent out on Friday afternoon from a vessel located south of Paxos. According to ERT, the signal was transmitted via VHF radio, prompting an immediate response from the coast guard.
The private vessel is experiencing controlled water ingress south of Paxos, but the occupants are not in danger.

A coast guard vessel has arrived at the scene, along with three water pumps from the Paxos Fire Brigade to remove the water from the vessel.
Additionally, the Paxos volunteer team has also rushed to the area for assistance. The private vessel is currently being towed to the port of Paxos.
