Tension prevailed Tuesday morning at the Polygyros courthouse when the father of 19-year-old Yiannis, who was killed at the amusement park in Pefekochori of Halkidiki, came face to face with the mayor of Kassandra, Anastasia Chalkias.
The father of 19-year-old Yiannis addressed the mayor in a strong tone when she told him she was “with” him.
“What are you with me on?” the 19-year-old’s father replied.
“You won’t get away with it no matter how many millions you have. I will crush you,” the 19-year-old’s father told Ms. Halkia, who was escorted away to the back door of the court by a police officer to end the verbal incident.
“If you had been there for me, you would have supported me and left the people with ties and come to me. You didn’t bring my child and you won’t. You watch yourself. I got a beef with the prosecutors. Nothing will save you. I don’t care about the millions you make or anything else. It’s not going to pass. I’ll crush you. You don’t know what will happen. Aren’t you a little ashamed of all that you are doing?”
The chance meeting between the two took place at the courthouse, where the 19-year-old’s father arrived as the case is now being handled by the head of the prosecutor’s office of the Halkidiki district court. From the side of the young man’s family was asked to investigate where the amusement park finally belongs, as a company appears as the owner, asking for other persons to be called for testimony.
