The volcanic, arid soil of Santorini, combined with the efforts of great winemakers, has created wines of exceptional quality that deserve international recognition,” the project managers explain. Producers such as Haridimos Hadjidakis, Paris Sigalas, Argiros, Artemis Karamolegos, Gavalas, Tselepos, and of course the Boutaris family, concerning tradition, create wines that can easily stand next to the best Riesling or white Burgundies. “The intense acidity, salinity, minerality, and rich aromas of their wines fascinate not only white wine lovers but also every oenophile,” they point out.
