Danish police arrested activist Greta Thunberg today in Copenhagen during a protest against the Gaza war, according to a spokesperson for the student group that organized the demonstration.
Six people were detained at the protest site at the University of Copenhagen after about 20 individuals blocked the building’s entrance and three managed to enter, a police spokesperson told Reuters.
The police declined to confirm the identities of those arrested, but a representative from the organization Students Against the Occupation told Reuters that Thunberg was among those detained.
A photo of Thunberg published by the newspaper Ekstra Bladet shows her wearing, as noted by the publication, handcuffs.
