The trial in France concerning the multiple rapes of 72-year-old Gisele Pellicano, who was drugged by her husband Dominique Pellicano, continues today with the testimony of their daughter.
Caroline Darian recounts the day her life “literally turned upside down.”
The daughter of both the victim and the perpetrator, visibly emotional, recalls November 2, 2020, the day her mother discovered she had been drugged and raped by her husband.
“For me, there is a before and an after November 2, 2020; my life literally turned upside down,” said the 40-year-old.
Caroline Darian remembers the day her mother called her, distraught.
“Just hearing her voice, I feared the worst,” she says. “I thought my father, who suffers from respiratory issues, was seriously ill.”
However, her mother told her that she had spent an entire day at the Carpentras police station.
“Your father drugged me so that he and others could rape me. I saw pictures, they wanted to show me videos, but I couldn’t bear it.”
