Livadeia: Safety Protocols Not Followed, Says Hellenic Train

The Company Calls It an Isolated Incident and Announces Sanctions Against Those Involved

Hellenic Train has released a new statement regarding the injury of a woman on a train in Livadeia. The company describes the incident as isolated and announces that sanctions will be imposed on those involved. “We apologize for the incident that occurred on Saturday, September 7, in Livadeia, during which our staff failed to follow the prescribed protocols for the safe boarding and disembarking of passengers, as well as the company’s code of conduct,” the statement reads.

“We apologize for the incident that occurred on Saturday, September 7, in Livadeia, during which our staff failed to follow the prescribed protocols for the safe boarding and disembarking of passengers, as well as our company’s code of conduct. Following a thorough internal investigation, we were disappointed to find that both the drivers and cabin crew did not adhere to the established procedures.

We consider this incident unacceptable and, therefore, will impose strict sanctions on those involved to prevent similar incidents in the future. We take full responsibility and sincerely regret this unfortunate event.

We are committed to further enhancing our staff training to ensure that such isolated cases do not happen again. Our goal remains the continuous improvement of our services, with safety as our top priority.”
