A 55-year-old German climber lost his life on Mount Olympus. Firefighters found his body in a remote area near the “Spilios Agapitos” refuge and transported it to an accessible location, where it was taken by an EKAV ambulance.
Other climbers who were with him alerted the authorities via the 112 emergency number. Fourteen firefighters from the Litochoro Fire Department, the 2nd EMAK, and the 2nd EMODE participated in the operation.

Additionally, a fire service operation is in progress to locate a woman injured on Mount Olympus, near the “Spilios Agapitos” refuge. Current information indicates that the woman has sustained a minor leg injury.
