An Evzone shed tears during his final guard duty – “All of Greece is reflected in his tearful eyes”

The video was posted by his sister, who wrote, “Thank you, OUR GEORGE, for making us so, so proud.”

Newsroom September 20 09:03

The last guard duty of an Evzone from the Presidential Guard was filled with emotion.

The video of George, as the Evzone is named, was shared on TikTok by his sister, who had previously posted other videos from her brother’s service.

“Last guard duty as an EVZONE! Thank you, OUR GEORGE, for making us so, so proud,” his sister captioned the post.

As expected, under the post, most of the over 3,500 comments were overwhelmingly supportive and emotional, praising the member of the Presidential Guard.

His sister had also posted other videos on TikTok showing her brother in the March 25th parade, during the official change of the guard that happens on the first Sunday of each month, and from his duties.

“Last guard duty as an EZONAS ! thank you GEORGE OURS, for making us so very, very proud,” Euzon’s sister wrote in the caption.

As expected under the post, the more than 3,500 comments about the Presidential Guard member were laudatory and touching.

Euzon’s sister had posted other vids on TikTok with her brother at the March 25 parade, the official changeover on the first Sunday of every month and also from his service at the Presidential Palace
