The suspect who was arrested for the second attempted assassination attempt against Donald Trump had written a letter stating that he intended to kill the former US president while keeping a handwritten list of dates and places where Trump was likely to appear in his car, the US Department of Justice said.
US prosecutors investigating the second assassination attempt on former President Trump said the suspect’s cellphone was repeatedly connected from August 18 to September 15 to phone networks near Trump’s golf course and his Florida home.
The note had been placed in a box left at the home of an unidentified person who contacted federal authorities after Ruth’s arrest.
The box also contained ammunition, a metal pipe and other items.
