September Travel Diary: Where to Go

Neoclassical palaces, Cycladic masterpieces, untouched mountains, and carefree flamingos: Four destinations invite you to explore

Newsroom September 24 12:00

Before we rush to think that summer is over and returning to our routines marks a shift in season and mood, let’s pause and consider how fortunate we are to live in a country where the climate offers us a rare extension of summer, something unique compared to other countries. Let’s make the most of it.

Yes, vacation days might be fewer, and schools and other educational institutions are about to reopen, but who can say they’ve had enough of holidays, swimming, carefree moments, and time away from the city?

On the other hand, during this first month of autumn, temperatures remain warm, the sea is still inviting, nights are mild and lazy, the pace at tourist destinations is more relaxed and human compared to August, prices are more reasonable, and service is better. Island towns and villages are idyllic, without the crowds.
