Recep Tayyip Erdogan returned from New York to Turkey this morning, canceling his attendance at a dinner hosted by US President Joe Biden in honor of leaders attending the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

President Erdogan’s aircraft landed in Constantinople at 9:30 a.m.

There was no mention from the Turkish presidency’s side as to why Tayyip Erdogan did not attend the US president’s dinner.

Turkish media reported that Erdogan’s wife Emine Erdogan attended the reception hosted by the first lady of the United States Jill Biden.
