The emir of Qatar today expressed his “full support” for Lebanon, assuring that he has ordered aid to the stricken country, where Israeli bombing has caused hundreds of deaths and nearly 1.2 million displaced people, according to an account by Lebanese authorities.
In a post on the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani reaffirmed “Qatar’s full support for Lebanon and its brotherly people” who are under “brutal attacks” by Israel. He adds that he has instructed “swift action and provision of necessary resources” to help the residents of the affected areas.
