Weather: temperature drop today and African dust – Where it will rain

Yesterday the mercury hit up to 35.2 °C in Galaxidi - The EMF forecast until Wednesday

Newsroom October 12 09:26

October’s summer-like weather is coming to an end today as temperatures begin to drop, gradually returning to normal for the season. Additionally, African dust levels will rise in the east and south. According to the National Weather Service, scattered showers are expected in the northeast through the afternoon.

In a post on X, EMY director Theodoros Kolydas noted that while temperatures will cool, there’s little good news regarding rainfall. High-pressure systems are dominating the region, preventing low-pressure systems from reaching the Central Mediterranean, and reducing the likelihood of significant precipitation for now.
