Athens Law School honors Panagiotis Pikrammenos as honorary doctorate

A special ceremony to be attended by President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and distinguished guests

In a prestigious ceremony, Panagiotis Pikrammenos, former caretaker Prime Minister, ex-Deputy Prime Minister, and former President of the Council of State, will be honored as an Honorary Doctor of the Faculty of Law at the University of Athens. This significant event will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 19:00 in the Great Hall of the University of Athens (Central Building, 30 Panepistimiou Street).

The ceremony will commence with an address by the Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Professor Gerassimos Siassos. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, the Minister of Education, Religion, and Sports, will also deliver greetings.

The achievements and contributions of Panagiotis Pikrammenos will be presented by Georgios Delli, Professor of Public Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Athens. Following this, the official honoring of Mr. Pikrammenos will take place, along with the reading of the resolution from the Faculty regarding the honorary doctorate by Constantinos Christodoulou, the Dean of the Faculty of Law.

The honorary medal will be presented to Mr. Pikrammenos by Professor Siassos, followed by a speech from the esteemed recipient himself.
