Sinwar is a central figure in Hamas and is considered one of the masterminds behind the deadly attack by the terrorist organization on Israel on October 7, 2023. If confirmed, news of his death is expected to have significant implications for developments in the region.

Meanwhile, earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they had carried out a precision airstrike against Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists operating from a command and control center in a building previously used as a school in northern Gaza.

According to the IDF, there were 12 terrorists present at the former Abu Hassan school, who were involved in rocket attacks against Israel and operations against Israeli troops. The army emphasized that measures were taken to minimize civilian casualties.

However, according to an official from the Gaza Health Ministry, which is controlled by Hamas, at least 19 Palestinians, including children, were killed in the attack, while dozens of others were injured. The official, Methat Abbas, also stated, “There is no water to extinguish the fire. There is nothing.”
