Six people were killed and twenty-five injured today in a bus crash in the central Turkish province of Aksaray.
Governor Mehmet Ali Kubuzoglu told reporters that it was not clear what caused the accident, which occurred on the highway linking Aksaray to Angara. The bus was carrying passengers from the western province of Balikesir to the Cappadocia region, a popular tourist destination in central Türkiye.
“The injured were taken to hospital. An investigation into the causes of the accident has been launched,” he said.
