A dramatic car chase occurred recently in the Nikaia area when a Pakistani man (initially reported as Roma) refused to comply with a DIAS police signal for inspection, accelerated, and ultimately crashed into parked cars.

According to information from protothema.gr, the incident began at the intersection of Miaouli and Zodochou Pigis Streets when DIAS officers noticed the vehicle moving suspiciously and decided to conduct a check.

They signaled the driver to stop, but he refused to comply. Instead, he sped up, drove the wrong way down Bouboulinas Street, and attempted to escape. However, he did not get far, as the car veered off course and crashed into parked vehicles, as shown in photos obtained by protothema.gr.

The man then tried to flee on foot but was quickly immobilized by DIAS police officers and arrested.
