A suffocating situation prevails in the center of Rhodes, with areas like Eleftherias Square and Therma having turned into makeshift migrant camps.

The images available to protothema.gr reveal the chaos, with people living in cardboard boxes and makeshift tents, enduring horrendous living conditions.

According to complaints, the situation has worsened recently, with the city’s infrastructure unable to cope. There is filth everywhere, the smells are unbearable, and the municipality appears unable to take decisive measures.
