The incident involving the shooting of a 3-year-old child in the head in Markopoulo ended tragically, as despite being transported to the “Aglaia Kyriakou” hospital, the doctors were unable to save his life.
According to reports, the child was brought to the hospital without a pulse, and the doctors attempted—unfortunately without success—to resuscitate him through CPR.
The incident reportedly occurred on Agios Dimitrios Street when, for unknown reasons, the occupants of a car, believed to be Roma, stopped next to another vehicle containing the child and his parents (also Roma). For reasons yet to be determined, they began shooting, resulting in the injury of the 3-year-old child.
Initially, the child was transported by relatives to the Markopoulo Health Center and from there by ambulance to the “Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital.
