Giorgos Patoulis: His wife’s first statement after their wedding – “Koilou is my last name,” she clarified

A few days after their wedding, Giorgos Patoulis and Nancy Koilou departed on Tuesday, November 5, for their honeymoon in Prague

Newsroom November 6 05:30

Television cameras caught up with the couple, who made a few statements before boarding their flight.

Initially, the former Governor of Attica stated, “We’re leaving for a few days and will return on Saturday. We wanted to choose a safe destination. I think we’ve said everything we wanted to.”

When asked about his son’s absence from the wedding—a topic that sparked much discussion—Giorgos Patoulis emphasized that their relationship remains strong. “Alexandros and I are very close, and I believe that as an adult now, he’s a man who makes his own decisions. Of course, we spoke, and he wished us well! Alexandros is very happy, and he has expressed his excitement about welcoming our child,” Patoulis explained in detail.

Asked about reports that his son unfollowed him and his former wife, Marina Stavraki, on social media, Patoulis responded, “No, that’s not true. Alexandros isn’t very active on social media, and he didn’t want us constantly following him and checking where he is and what he’s doing—neither me, his mother, nor Anastasia. He knows we’re together, and we, of course, respect his choice.”

When a journalist asked his wife how she would like to be addressed now that they are married, she replied, “Ms. Koilou is my last name.”

“Everything is fine. We’ll talk more later, thank you very much,” Nancy Koilou concluded, and the couple departed.
