As we head into the weekend, the weather will remain stable with chilly northerly winds and occasional light showers. Here’s what you can expect:

Today, Wednesday (Nov 6th):
It will be mostly sunny across the country, with a few clouds over western and central Macedonia, Thessaly, Evia, eastern Peloponnese, and northern Crete, which will clear up as the day progresses. Expect strong winds in the Aegean, reaching up to 7 Beaufort, with some areas seeing gusts of up to 8 Beaufort.
Temperatures will stay cool, with many areas staying below 20°C, especially in the north (around 15-18°C). However, parts of western Greece, southern Crete, and the Dodecanese will see temperatures rise above 20°C.

In Specific Regions:

  • Attica: Mostly sunny with a few clouds, and stronger north winds of up to 7 Beaufort in the east. Temperatures will reach around 19°C.
  • Thessaloniki: Expect morning clouds that will dissipate throughout the day, with mild winds of up to 3 Beaufort and temperatures around 17°C.

The Week Ahead:

  • Thursday and Friday will see more cloud cover, especially in Thessaly, Evia, and northern Crete, but temperatures will remain steady.
  • By Saturday, a new system moving in from the north could bring rain to the east, accompanied by stronger winds.

Important Weather Warnings:

  • North-northeast winds will reach up to 8 Beaufort in the central Aegean Sea, gradually weakening after midday.
  • Cloud cover will be more frequent in some regions, especially in Crete, the Ionian Islands, and parts of the east. Expect a few light showers in the west of Crete and off the southern Ionian Sea, with isolated thunderstorms possible.

Regional Highlights:

  • Crete: Partly cloudy with a chance of light morning showers. Winds of 5-7 Beaufort, with stronger gusts in the Cyclades.
  • Ionian Islands & Western Greece: Generally sunny, with temperatures ranging from 8°C to 23°C.
  • Eastern Greece: Winds will pick up, with gusts reaching 7-8 Beaufort in some areas, while temperatures will range from 8°C to 22°C.
