On Monday and Tuesday (November 11-12), strong weather phenomena will primarily affect the islands of the South Ionian Sea, Western Sterea, and Western Peloponnese. By Wednesday, the conditions will spread across the Ionian Sea, Epirus, Western Sterea, Western Peloponnese, and possibly Western Thessaly.

Meteorologists have specifically warned residents of Zante, Kefalonia, and Ithaca, predicting high rainfall in the coming 48 hours. Other areas affected include Lefkada, Achaia, Ilia, and Aitoloakarnania. The harsh conditions are expected to intensify with possible snow in the mountains of Epirus and Western Central Greece.

In addition to heavy rainfall, strong winds are expected in various parts of the country, especially in the Ionian and the Aegean seas. As the weather persists through the week, temperatures will drop slightly, and snowfall may occur in northern regions.

The weather forecast for Wednesday, November 13, shows clouds and local rain across the Ionian, mainland, and northern Aegean regions, with thunderstorms likely in the western parts. Snow is expected in the mountains of Epirus. Temperatures will range from 4°C to 23°C in different parts of the country.

By Thursday, November 14, unstable weather with local showers and sporadic downpours will continue, gradually weakening by midday in the west. Occasional snowfall will affect the northern mountains.

Friday, November 15, will bring partly cloudy skies with local showers, particularly in the eastern parts and the Aegean Sea, with a slight drop in temperatures in the east. Snow will fall in the mountains of northern mainland Greece. On Saturday, November 16, the weather will remain cloudy, with rain mainly in the central and southern parts, and snowfall in the highlands. Winds will be moderate, with temperatures remaining stable.

The Plenary of the Council of State (StE) has rejected the appeal filed by ADEDY and a public school teacher seeking the reinstatement of the holiday bonuses for public sector employees. According to the Court’s reasoning, the non-payment of these bonuses does not constitute adverse discrimination compared to private-sector employees and does not violate the Constitution
