He was the guitarist of the well-known Greek rock band Entelecheia, which was active from 1991 to 2009.
Dimitriou also worked as a radio producer for Kosmos radio for many years. Entelecheia was one of the most famous Greek-language rock bands of its time, known for its energetic and dynamic music.
The sad news was shared by his cousin, Greek politician and radio producer Grigoris Psarianos, who posted on social media: “Why, Antonis, why? My cousin, our dear Antonis Dimitriou, passed away today.”
In a tribute, the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) expressed their condolences, highlighting Dimitriou’s contributions to Greek rock music and his work at Kosmos radio. He was also known for his collaborations with renowned Greek artists, including the late Lavrentis Machairitsas.
His funeral will take place on Tuesday, November 19th, at the Third Cemetery of Nikaia, followed by cremation in Ritsona.
The ERT management extended their heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
