The funeral of One Direction singer Liam Payne is taking place today, Wednesday, November 20, in England. The singer passed away last month at the age of 31 after falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Among the relatives and friends attending the ceremony are the former members of One Direction—Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. The late singer’s former bandmates and close friends arrived at the church early, visibly emotional.

Their presence at the ceremony marks their first reunion in nearly 10 years. Zayn left the band in March 2015, and the remaining members announced in August 2015 that the group would go on an indefinite hiatus.
In an emotional statement released last month, One Direction expressed their grief over Liam Payne’s death, writing:
“We are completely heartbroken by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, when everyone is ready, we’ll have more to say. But for now, we’ll take time to mourn and process the loss of our brother, whom we loved deeply. The memories we shared with him will always be cherished. For now, our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the fans who loved him with us. He will be missed beyond words. We love you, Liam.”
