Authorities evacuated the Litochoro Health Center following a leak of toxic Clophen liquid from a Public Power Corporation (DEI) transformer.

According to ERT reports, the leak happened in a transformer situated in the basement of the Health Center building, which houses the radiology department.

Firefighting units from Litochoro are on the scene, coordinating the operation, while reinforcements from the 2nd and 8th Special Disaster Response Units (EMAK) have been called in from Thessaloniki and Larissa, respectively.

The incident is being managed with foam application at the site of the leak.
