MRB trends: 22.9% for ND and 14.2% for PASOK – What words express citizens

Citizens appear pessimistic about Greece's economic situation, according to MRB's semi-annual trends

The MRB trends give a solid lead to the New Democracy (ND). Specifically, in the voting intention, the DDDD registers 22.9%, followed by PASOK-KINAL with 14.2%. The Syriza has 8%, the KKE 8%, the Hellenic Solution 8%, the Voice of Reason 4.5%, the Movement for Democracy 3,5%, the Liberty Workers 3.1%, the Mera25 2.8%, the NIKI 2.7%, the NEA ARISTERA 1.3%, the Spartans 1%.

“Other Party” was chosen by 1% of respondents, while the “Undecided Vote” rate is at 19%. The “Undecided Vote” percentage breaks down as follows: “Undecided-Don’t Answer” 10.9% and “White-No Vote” 8.1%.

In the victory performance, the Southwestern party leads with 56.2%, while PASOK-KINAL has 8.5%. SYRIZA 3.7%, Hellenic Solution 3.5%, KKE 2.5%, Democracy Movement 1.4%. The option “No party” registers 12.5%. The option “Other party” is 4.4% and “I don’t know/ I don’t answer” is 7.3%.

People think the three most important problems facing the country are: inflation/accuracy at 58.3%, health/health care at 45%, and unemployment at 22.3%.

The word “fear” with 49.4% expresses citizens most about the country’s present and future, followed by “anger” with 46.9%, and “resignation/disillusionment” with 39.1%.

As far as the optimism indicators are concerned, and specifically to the question “How do you think things are going in general in our country”, 62% answered “Very bad – quite bad”, while 11.2% answered “Very good – quite good”.

When asked, “How do you judge Greece’s economic situation in general,” 62.7% responded “Very bad-bad” and 10.1% answered, “Very good-good.”

Greek-Turkish relations

To the question “How likely do you think a hot incident between Greece and Turkey is during the next 12 months”, 37.7% of citizens answered “very” and “quiet”.

Asked how they rate Trump’s election and assumption of the US presidency overall, citizens answered 45.4% “definitely positive-more positive” and 44.6% “definitely negative-more negative”.

To the question “Do you think that Greek-American relations will improve or deteriorate during Trump’s term”, 42.9% of citizens answer “will remain the same”, 26.4% “will improve significantly-improve slightly” and 19.4% “will deteriorate quite a bit-significantly”.

When asked “How widespread is the issue of bullying and physical violence among teens/adults” 88.8% responded, “very widespread-somewhat widespread.”
