Yesterday morning, a dinghy with foreigners was spotted in the sea area north of Samos.

The crew of the PLS recovered the fifty occupants (18 men, 9 women, and 23 minors) and safely transported them to the port of Malagari.

Subsequently, the foreigners were handed over to officers of the Police Directorate to be taken to a Closed Controlled Facility in Samos. The Liminairio Samos is conducting preliminary investigations while the dinghy is sunk.
