Finland: No to the release of the tanker that allegedly damaged undersea cables

The tanker was engaged on 26 December - Allegedly damaged the electricity supply on the Finland-Esthonia line and telecommunications cables

A Finnish court has said no to a request for the release of the tanker that allegedly caused the damage to a submarine power line and four telecom cables last week.

Finland on December 26 blocked the tankerEagle S carrying Russian oil on suspicion of damaging the Finnish-Estonian Estlink 2 power line as well as telecommunications cables the day before as it dragged its anchor on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
